Yuuki blog time! Lots of little crazy stuff at work. Anadar tagged around with me as I tried to complete the last of my searching for media. After the last few days of being my fellow searcher, she's gotten better at it.
Anadar: Should we take this? *holds up tape* What if they need it?
Me: If they do, you won't have to wait long for someone to come account for it properly.
Anadar: But is it okay to just take it?
Me: Confiscate, Anadar, Not take.
Anadar: Okay.... I'm confiscating this soda too.
Me: You're after my own heart.
She learns so fast. And the Navy section is the most frightening section I've ever seen. I don't think anything is that frightening. I open up a drawer and see a box of condoms. So I just close the drawer and move on. In a guy's drawer I find a tube of Vagicil and a toilet mate. I move on quickly. Later on, I find an entire stock box of condoms in a cabinet. I look at Anadar and share my observations.
Anadar: O_O
Me: I'm comfortable with the explanation that here be Navy.
Anadar: But I don't keep condoms in my desk. (Anadar is Navy)
Me: Wait, I forgot there's Marines in here too. Sheep are too obvious.
Anadar: O_O;;
*toilet mate comes rolling across the floor. Male sailor winks from across the way*
Anadar: Can we...leave now?
And I think I'm a some kind of language limbo. Anadar spoke German at me. Her co-worker throws handfuls of Korean and Japanese at me. Her boss throws Japanese. One of my Security Managers chased after me howling in Mandarin. Seto, Kosaka, Narita, and Funaki all speak Japanese to me. I'm jumping from language to language like a pinball. I think the Mandarin was the funniest, saying something to the effect of "Maa mama MA, mama MA maa" which is something like "The horse annoys mother, mother scolds the horse". Brad's free to correct me.
My work calendar is full to the end of the year. But I'm gonna try and stuff another class in there. Intro to Japanese. It teaches tea ceremony and flower arrangement, about kabuki, history, etc. My first class was 111, and this is 105, so I'm actually backtracking. I'll attend 112 after 105 is over and I'm more comfortable with what I learned in 111. My final was going pretty good until one question. "Are there five big apples on the table?" And I just went o_o
My first thought was "do I mention the table first or the apples?" then "do I put the five before or after the apples?" as I settled for "Okii ringo wa ittsu teburu no ue desu ka." I checked the book later. It's not ittsu. It's ITSUTSU. Dammit! And it's not desu. It's ga arimasu. DAMMIT! Now I'm worried about the whole sentence. Probably in the wrong order. -_- I barely recalled how to say 'boy' and 'trip' in time.
I know I'm just ranting. I had to leave the office a few times today just to keep from screaming. It's been a long week. Everything is being challenged right now, down to "by what authority do you issue tickets?" O_o "cause I'm a cop, dumbass." But that's not good enough officially, so I have to look it up and study it for future reference. I'm seriously considering rewriting my entire program as well. It keeps being challenged because people don't want to comply, so I need to find each and every directive and reaffirm them. Hard to completely uphold something someone else put together. Boss, who will now on be called Robin, wants to rearrange all furniture in the office and move everyone around. I think since he's new here, he's in a nesting phase.
Allergy season is here. I think it's molds I'm allergic to. Besides the itchiness and sinus issues, my lips swelled up. If I don't keep strict to my medication, I'll get the daily headaches I got last year. I'm almost praying for the snow to get here. The tempurature has dropped drastically in the last few days. It sure feels like October.
